EXCELLENT script, Heather.
ReplyDeleteBravo!
Interesting advert - do you think it promotes responsible drinking?
Ha.

To be honest, I don't think that any alcohol advertisement promotes responsible drinking. The alcohol industry thrives on brand recognition and counting on people who binge drink. That being said, I think that this advertisement did a good job about keeping the message subliminal for the most part. It wasn't obvious what the advertisement was about through out the entire commercial, it only became apparent in the end. This may be ignorant, but I think the core message of the commercial was that Jim Beam has been around since 1795 and it's "so good" that it hasn't changed since.
